Gracie "Speaks" Pictures Training Directions

Thank you for your interest in my training classes. My name is Lyn Howard, and I have been training dogs for over 25 years. I especially love working with children and involving the whole family since consistency is the key to training your dog. Although you learn to make corrections with your dog, my approach is positive, redirecting  negative behavior as often as possible to positive.I have a special interest in training Service Dogs and am a member of the association of Pet Dog Trainers.

In the Basic Obedience Classes, we work on the fundamentals of obedience training. Owners are taught how to be the leader, using body language and  voice control. You will learn the differences between how we see the world and how dogs see us in their world. House breaking, nipping, and other issues will be addressed. Socialization is extremely important, and your dog will have a play session at the beginning of each class to release some of their energy and have fun. Pups will learn the basics of  Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, and Come with both voice commands and hand signals. This class runs 5 weeks and will  lasts one  hour with graduation on the 5th week. You will need a leash (leather preferred) that is 6' and 3/4" wide, collar (NO chokers, some dogs that pull will need to be fitted with a gentle leader -  you can purchase one and have me fit it at the first class) ,treats (soft treats that can be easily broken are recommended). Class limit is 6. The cost for this class is  $85.00 with a $10.00 discount for Doggy Den members. Please call for class time.

BASIC OBEDIENCE - For dogs 5 months and older. Dogs in this class must be dog friendly and show NO aggression towards other dogs or people. Dogs 6 months or older must be spayed/neutered prior to class...Intact dogs can be very distractive to all the other dogs in the class. Dogs will have a play session at the beginning of each class and ill learn the same voice commands and hand signals as the Puppy Class. Also refer to the Puppy Class on what to bring to class. The class will last 1 hour, and the class limit is 6 dogs. The cost of this class is $85.00, with a $10.00 discount for Doggy Den members. Please call for class time.

Please call The Doggy Den for more details, or you can contact me directly at 614-668-5804. Thank you, Lyn.
